The trek takes around 7-8 hours and starts early in the morning, around 6 am. Visitors should be in good physical condition and should bring appropriate gear and supplies.

In the surrounding area, visitors can explore the beautiful tea plantations that Munnar is known for, as well as the Eravikulam National Park, which is home to several species of endangered animals and birds. The park is open from 7:30 am to 4 pm and the entry fee is INR 120 for adults and INR 90 for children.
